Another great crowd of at least 18 climbers headed to Jamestown Saturday morning
for this month's Club Climbing Trip. Some started at
6:30 am (Frank and Steve) while the others gathered at the regular
rendezvous at 7:30 for the two hour trip. Everyone was there by 9am
(AL time). The day started chilly in the upper 40's, with stunning
clear blue skies, and remained gorgeous throughout the day, topping
out in the low 70's. However, while pumping it out on the Sun drenched
upper sections of the climbs, it sure felt warmer. We really could not
have had better weather, or a better day.
I don't know if anyone else experienced it, but Frank and had the full moon setting down the middle of the highway at several points on the trip there. It was an awesome sight, as it was on the way home last night. As always, our dedicated leaders set up a number of routes quickly and had everyone climbing in no time. We all thank the following for their leading efforts.
Climbers enjoying the fruits of these leaders' efforts were: Aaron, Andie, Andrea, Derek, Elizabeth, Huong, Matthias, Mike, Mona, Sean and Steve. After a completely awesome day of climbing, 13 of us headed to Rome for an Italian dinner at Provinos. The food was very good and the waitress did an amazing job of handling our orders and our separate checks. It was well after 10pm before we arrived back in Atlanta. I apologize if I missed anyone or anything, I'm still getting to know everyone. Thanks to those who helped me put this list together. Steve Mashburn |
